Obituary
Marilyn Janet McKinney was born on January 31, 1941 in Steubenville, Ohio. She was one of three daughters born to the union of Millard and Pearl (nee Holsey) McKinney.
Marilyn was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church since she was child. She LOVED the LORD and enjoyed going to church. She encouraged people with her uplifting of Jesus' goodness and her positive outlook on life. She was a Christian woman.
Marilyn enjoyed everything about cooking and was an excellent chef. She watched all cooking programs on the food and travel network. She liked to read and do crossword puzzles in her spare time.
Her family was her heart and on October 8, 2013 she softly departed this life to be her Savior, her parents and her sister, Rev. Joyce Fordham.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories, a son; Terry (Maria) McKinney, a daughter; Deneva McKinney, a sister; Gwendolyn (Jesse, Jr.) James, three grandchildren, four great grandchildren, a host of other relatives, her church family and many dear friends.
Funeral service is Friday, October 8, 2013 at 1:00PM at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 221 N. 7th Street, Steubenville Ohio. Visitation begins at 12:00PM.
The Pastor, Rev. Norries A. Hood, Sr. will officiate.
Burial will be on Monday, October 14, 2013 at Ft. Steuben Burial Estates.
