Obituary

Mary Elizabeth Albritton was born on October 15, 1926, in Steubenville , Ohio to the late Estelle Childs and Erise Mosley. She departed this life and went from labor to reward on March 13, 2013. Mary was educated in the Steubenville City Schools.
She attended the School of Cosmetology and worked many years pressing and curling hair. She retired from the Community Action Council where she worked as Project Director. Mary was a member of the Mount Zion Baptist Church . She loved her church and through the years she was a faithful and dedicated member in various divisions of the church. She sang with the Wooden Singers, she served on the Church Budget Committee, chaired the Church Anniversary Committee, belonged to the Women's Ministry, and when her illness prevented her from attending church on a regular basis, she worked from home, calling members for dessert donations for church social events and placing orders for floral arrangements for bereaved families. Mary loved to swim and was a great swimmer, she loved to travel and God gave her the opportunity to travel to many places and experience many things during her 86 years.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Sidney Albritton, her daughter Cherlynn Albritton Sims and one brother Clarence Mosley.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her brother; David Brown and his wife Sharon of Steubenville, Ohio, a loving cousin; Rosetta Lamb, her dear nephew; David Brown Jr. and his mother Pearl Brown of Augusta, Ga,. a devoted caretaker Carolyn Gampolo of Steubenville, a Godson Jontae' Byrom and a host of wonderful friends and loving relatives.
Funeral Friday, March 22, 2013, 11 a.m., at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 221 N. 7th St., Steubenville, OH. Visitation 10 a.m. until time of service.
