Obituary
Micah A. Mayo was born on Tuesday, September 1, 1953 in Steubenville, Ohio to the union of the late Clifford A. and Elizabeth (nee Moore) Mayo.
Micah graduated from Steubenville High School. He worked many years for Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel and later he was employed by Eastern Gateway Community College.
Micah was preceded in death by his parents, a sister; Hilda Dorsy and a brother; Rector Robert Mayo.
On Monday, November 26, 2012 Micah quietly passed away at Valley Hospice after his brave fight with cancer. He will forever be remembered by his family, daughters; Marquia Mayo of Weirton, WV, and Martina Mayo of Steubenville, Ohio, two sons; Nico and Nykee both of Steubenville, Ohio, sisters; Patricia (Lawrence) Fletcher, Lillian Lucas, of Steubenville, Ohio, Ethel Mayo of Columbus, Ohio and Claudia (Frank) Holmes of Steubenville, Ohio, his brothers; Alfred Mayo of Detroit, Michigan, James and Herbert Mayo of Steubenville, Ohio and Andrew Mayo of Cincinnati, Ohio, a special friend Yolanda McGhee, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, the wonderful staff of Hospice and so many loving and dear friends.
Visitation on Sat., Dec. 1, 2012, at 10 a.m., Williams, Gregory and Martin Funeral Service, 411 N 7th St., Steubenville, OH. Funeral will begin at 11 a.m., with Rev. Norries A. Hood, Sr., officiating.
