Michelle Marie
Ashmore Flores
January 18, 1963 – April 3, 2026
Michelle Marie Ashmore Flores entered this world on January 18, 1963, in Monterey, California, born to Carlisle Ashmore and Knifa “Scotty” Magvok. From the very beginning, she carried a light that would leave a lasting impression on everyone she met. On April 3, 2026, Michelle transitioned from this life, leaving the world a little less bright, but the hearts of her loved ones forever full.
Though she later traded the Pacific tides for the rolling hills of Ohio, Michelle remained a California girl at heart. She carried with her a warm, vibrant energy and an outgoing spirit that made strangers feel like lifelong friends within moments. A proud graduate of South High School, she was known as the life of every gathering, bringing laughter, love, and unforgettable presence wherever she went.
Michelle had a deep love for cooking, but for her, it was never just about the food. It was about the love she poured into every dish and every person she served. Her kitchen became a place of comfort, connection, and joy, and her table was always open to those she loved.
For 42 years, Michelle shared a lifelong bond with her husband, Denniccio Flores. Though life took its own course at times, their connection remained rooted in a deep history and enduring respect that never wavered.
At the center of Michelle’s world were her children and grandchildren, who meant everything to her. They were her pride, her purpose, and the love she carried with her each day. She loved them fiercely and unconditionally, leaving behind a legacy of strength, guidance, and devotion that will continue to carry them forward.
She leaves to honor her legacy her devoted daughters, Jasmine Flores and Octavia Flores (Jaquan); her sisters, Georgette Davis, Tasha Ashmore of Texas, and Gwen Brown of Baltimore, Maryland; and her best friend, Lisa Coney.
Her light will continue to shine through her cherished grandchildren, Jashon (Hanna) Flores, Aziyah Flores, Mikell Flores, Rayell Flores, Quannell Flores, Janiya Flores, and Jaquan Miller Jr.; and her great-grandchildren, Dakota, Kulture, and Kynd. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and friends who were blessed to know and love her.
Michelle is now reunited with her parents, Carlisle Ashmore and Knifa “Scotty” Magvok, and her beloved grandmother, Mary Della Smith, who she held close to her heart.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Gregory-Martin Funeral Home, proudly serving families in Youngstown and Steubenville. For additional information, please call (330) 743-4098.
