She was born in Steubenville, Ohio on April 17, 1960 to the union of the late Donald D. and Helen Carney.
She was an Honorably discharged disabled Veteran and served her country as a Medic Specialist and EMT in the US Army.
Mimi was a member of Second Baptist Church.
She enjoyed shopping, being creative, making craft and could sew. She was a talented clothes designer and even made a lot her own clothing. It was befitting that she obtain a degree in fashion merchandising from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh.
She leaves to honor her memory her daughter; Charnelle, her siblings; Keith, Robyn and Deidra; nieces; Brionna and Lauren, a nephew; Myles, a best friend; Trina Lawson, God Children; Jaelyn, Dominican and Kamron, many other relatives and dear friends.
Rev. Maurice Lawson will officiate her Memorial Service on Wed., JUNE 20, 2012 at 11:00AM, Gregory and Martin Funeral Service, 411 N. 7th St.
