Obituary

Minnie Lee (Harvin) Walters, a cherished resident of Steubenville, Ohio, peacefully passed away on January 3, 2024. Born on January 15, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Samuel Wade and Louise (Harvin) Reed.

Minnie's early years were shaped by the community of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Steubenville. She encountered and married the love of her life, Daniel Walters Sr., with whom she shared many joyful years until his passing. Minnie devoted several years of her life as a caretaker at the Carriage Inn of Steubenville.

In addition to her parents, Minnie was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Walters Sr.; one son, Daniel Walters II.; and two brothers, James "Bo" Threet and Robert A. Hines Jr.

Minnie is survived by her loving daughter, April Walters of Steubenville, Ohio; six grandchildren, Celicia Wilson, Danielle Walters, Daniel Walters III., Nelisha Walters, Tanese McKinney, and Sincere Walters; seven great-grandchildren; sisters Enola Gay Threet and Stefanie Herrin; nieces and nephews, Robert Hines III., Tashaka Freeman, Shatara Walters, Will Walters, Joseph Walters, Shalane Turret Threet; sister-in-laws, JoAnne Walters and Jackie Hines; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects on Saturday, January 13, 2024, from 1:00-3:00 pm at the GREGORY-MARTIN CHAPEL, located at 255 S. 7th Street in Steubenville, Ohio. To convey condolences to the family, please visit Minnie's online guestbook.
