IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Mitia Toi
Michelle Pruitt
May 26, 2003 – August 30, 2020
MiTia "Stink" Toi Michelle Pruitt, 17, passed away on Sunday, August 30, 2020, in Atlanta, Georgia, due to a tragic car accident. She was the daughter of Duane Pruitt and Nancy Tipton both of Steubenville, Ohio.
MiTia was a student at Steubenville High School in Steubenville, Ohio. She was an extremely adventurous girl who was always on the move. MiTia enjoyed school and her friendships. In 2017 her brother's cancer diagnosis took a toll on her emotionally, and because of this, her attendance suffered.
She was a fun-loving individual and focused on the present being full of love, laughter, and exciting new things. She was the wild child and enjoyed new adventures that fulfilled her lifestyle as a hardheaded, strong-willed, and resilient young woman. These attributes are the character attributes that drew people to her, along with that distinctive laugh that was contagious.
She was small in stature with a crazy big appetite, a loving heart, a beautiful smile that brightened the darkest of days, and an independent soul that would have taken her far in life.
Her grandmother, Toi Michele Felton, preceded her in death.
MiTia will forever be missed by her parents; her siblings, Ava, and Darious Robinson, and Tyzon and Dy'Asha Pruitt; one nephew, Drayce Morris; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins; and two special friends, Sequoia Pearson and Semira Pame.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the time of service, 1 p.m. on Monday, September 14, 2020, at the GREGORY-MARTIN CHAPEL AND LIFE EVENT CENTER, 255 S. 7th Street in Steubenville, Ohio. Interment to follow at Union Cemetery in Steubenville.
The family requests those who can wear the colors purple, white and yellow in honor of MiTia.
