Oscar D. Bickerstaff was born November 13, 1994, to Shawka Thompson and Nicole Bickerstaff. He passed away on Saturday, February 11, 2023, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Oscar was a Christian by faith. He graduated from Red Rock Job Corps Center in Sweet Valley, Pennsylvania. During the warmer months, he could often be found working on yards. He had a loving heart and was a respectful gentleman willing to help anyone. Oscar will be sorely missed by his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Shawka Thompson; and his grandparents Oscar D. Bickerstaff Sr., Rex Hines, Merle Christian, and Hilda Christian; and his godfather Mark Brown.

He is survived by his mother Nicole Bickerstaff; step-father Walter Lewis; one sister Shakerah Bickerstaff; grandmother Linda Hines; uncles Dean Bickerstaff and Terry (Maria) Bickerstaff; aunts Gina and Tracy Gillison; godmother Leonette (Keith) Murray; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A public visitation will be held on Friday, February 17, 2023, from 4:00-6:00 pm at the GREGORY-MARTIN CHAPEL, 255 S. 7th Street in Steubenville, Ohio. Please leave condolences for the family through Oscar's online guestbook.
