Patricia “Patty” Daye departed this life to be with the Lord on April 1, 2026, at her home.

Patricia was born July 9, 1953, in Youngstown, Ohio, the daughter of Bessie D. and Jessie Thomas. She graduated from The Rayen School and later attended Youngstown State University, where she earned an associate degree in Business. Patricia was employed at General Electric and IRIS Snack Shop.

She was a lifelong member of the Afro Dogs. Patricia was very close with her family and especially enjoyed hosting cookouts and spending quality time with her loved ones.

She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Stacey Robert, Nichole Lee, DeJuan Lamont, Curtis Jr. (Tamika), and Caprice; her grandchildren Nicole, Priscilla, Princess, Shauntell, Xavier, Avery, Nicholas, Jermaine, Devin, Kennedy, Karson, Maddox, MyKielle, Jaylel, Heaven, Neveah, Noah, and Cherishme; a host of great-grandchildren; and her siblings Alice (Douglas), Silas, Ronald, Mannie (Patricia), Deborah, Diane, Michael, and LaKeysha (Derrick). She will also be deeply missed by her extended family and friends near and far.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bessie and Jessie; her husband, Curtis “Bo Hog”; her children, Jermaine and Rafael; her grandchildren, Braylen and Jeremiah; her great-grandchildren, MJ and Layonna; her sisters, Karen, Sherry, and Christine; and her sister-in-law, Patricia Williams Collins.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Hospice of the Valley and Mercy Health Home Care by Compassus for the compassionate care given to their mother during her final days.

A Homegoing Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, April 10, 2026, at Greater Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, 646 Lakewood Avenue in Youngstown, Ohio. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until the time of service at the church.
