IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Patti A.
Gray
October 11, 1951 – February 27, 2020
Patti Ann Gray, 68, of Weirton, WV, and formerly of Aliquippa, PA, passed away on February 27, 2020, at Weirton Medical Center.
Patti, known to many as Ms. Patti, Ma Patti or G-ma, was born on October 11, 1951 in Aliquippa, Pa. Following the death of her mother as a result of child birth, she was raised by her grandmother, Big Mama. Ms. Patti enjoyed many years as a housekeeper. Due to being highly humble, few would know that Ms. Patti has a history as a Certified Nursing Assistant and past employment at Weirton Geriatric. She found joy in providing care to others, which she continued nurturing others until her passing.
Ms. Patti was a very strong, wise, and God fearing woman. All who knew her considered her extremely giving, compassionate, and loving. She rarely met a person she did not consider family. Crocheting, watching movies, especially Netflix, Disney originals, and biblical stories were her favorite hobbies. Spending time with her Grandchildren/Great-Grandchildren and Playing games (dice, chess, cards) were her passion.
Many will know Ms. Patti by her beautiful gardens, culinary skills, hospitality, and glorious smile. Her smile was as bright as a star sparkling in the night sky.
A highly encouraging, spiritual, and optimistic individual, she loved to reminisce and teach others what she loved to do, such as crochet, cook, and gardening.
When others did not mind their manners, she would quickly put them in check. She had no qualms about speaking her mind and did not mix words. While she did not tolerate disrespect, her words always remained loving.
She is predeceased by her parents, Katie and Joseph Gray; Siblings, Lilian Gray, Josephine Sykes, Catherine Young, Bae Gray, and Terry Gray; Grandson, Troy Albritton; and Great Grandson, Brody Lemar Edwards.
Ms. Patti leaves in her loving memory her six beautiful children, Ruth Ann Gray of Steubenvile, OH, Joyceline Byas of Columbus, OH, Quanita (Craig Sr.) Elmore of Steubenville, OH, Udell Boise Hollins Jr of Columbus, OH, Sherine Gray of Weirton, WV, and Travis (Sheana) Gray of Dayton, OH; 20 Grandchildren, Torrie Jones, Perry Jones, Devany Jenkins, Elwich "Ellie" Byas, Cheree Gray, Shaquana Gray, Shameca Gray, Shacora Gray, Sha'Vonne McCardle, Gabriell Brimais-Hollins, Shadelle Hollins, Sherine Hollins, Travis Gray Jr., Trenton Gray, Triston Gray, Tyra Gray, Tyler Gray, Shakaila Veal, Xavier Veal, Alaysia Veal, and Rachelle Jeter; A niece and nephews who she considered her children, Cassandra Young, Curtis Young, Gerald Yound, and Eugene Young. She also leaves to mourn her passing a long time friend, ex-partner, and father of her children, Udell Boise Hollins Sr. She has a host of great-grandchildren, family, and friends who will miss her dearly.
