Regina Maria (Thorn) Turner, 69, of Steubenville, Ohio, passed away peacefully on April 13, 2025, at Trinity West Medical Center. She was born on December 2, 1956, in Steubenville, the beloved daughter of the late Robert Thorn and Beatrice Taylor.

To know Regina was to truly love her. She was warm, generous, and full of life. Always willing to give the shirt off her back to anyone in need. Regina had a heart for family and cherished every moment spent with loved ones. She found joy in cooking, sewing, bowling, and selling purses. She especially loved listening to gospel music.

She attended Mt. Zion Baptist Church for many years. Regina was active in both a bowling league and a close-knit girls club until her health began to decline. She was a devoted homemaker who poured love and care into her home and her family. One of her most memorable sayings, often said with affection and a smile, was: "I'm gone whoop you." Her spirited presence and unwavering love will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Regina was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Marlon Thorn.

She leaves behind a legacy of love and strength in her children: David Thorn, Aisha Herrin, and Dalesha Thorn; stepchildren: Rachel Smith, Eddie Smith, and Patricia Smith; siblings: Wylene Thorn, Robert Lee Thorn Jr., Carl Thorn, and Tameka Burdine; 17 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; her sister/cousin Ronnie Edwards; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and dear friends.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at Gregory-Martin Funeral Chapel, 255 S. 7th Street, Steubenville, Ohio. Viewing will take place from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., with the funeral service beginning promptly at 12:00 p.m. Rev. Norries A. Hood Sr. will officiate and deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow at Union Cemetery in Steubenville.
