Reginald Mullins "Spud" was born on June 4, 1958, in Steubenville, Ohio, to David Manson and Thelma Lee Mullins. He passed away unexpectedly on June 28, 2024, at his residence.
Reginald, known affectionately as "Spud," had a deep passion for basketball, especially during March Madness. His favorite basketball team was the Los Angeles Lakers, and he was a dedicated Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
Spud was loved by many for his outgoing nature and ability to connect with everyone he met. He attended Grant School and graduated from Steubenville "Big Red" High School, where he made lifelong friends and memories.
He worked for U-Haul, where he was known for his dedication and hard work. He also enjoyed helping out with the Urban Mission Ministries in Steubenville, always eager to lend a hand to those in need.
He was preceded in death by his parents, David Manson and Thelma Lee Mullins, his brother David Manson Herrin, and his sister Minnie Lee Walters.
Spud's legacy continues through his three children: Charmaine Coleman, Reginald Mullins Jr., and Mary Smallwood; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and his two sisters, Stephanie Herrin and Enola Gay Threet. He is also remembered fondly by his special nephew David Thorn, special friends Charles Fuller and Andre Creech, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Friends are invited to join the family on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., at the Gregory-Martin Chapel, 255 S. 7th Street in Steubenville, Ohio, where a public visitation will be held.
