Reverend Cora Mae (Bankston) Jennings, 84, passed away on June 24, 2026, after courageously facing many health challenges. Born on April 13, 1942, in Youngstown, Ohio, she was the daughter of Rev. Joe and Dorothy (Josey) Bankston and a devoted wife, mother, sister, and servant of God.


She married her beloved husband, Rev. William Gene Jennings, in 1964, and together they built a home grounded in faith, love, and commitment. Rev. Jennings was known for her strong personality and dedication to God and family.


She is survived by her children: Yolanda Jennings, William Jennings Jr., Joel Jennings, Thomas F. Jennings, Pandora Freeman, Christian Jennings, Denzel Jennings, and Orianna (Joe) Dicem; her siblings: Robert Bankston, Rufus (Mary) Bankston, and Dorothy (Thomas) Fish; 11 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.


She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Talitha Jennings; her husband, Rev. William Gene Jennings; and her grandson, Colin Jennings.


Rev. Jennings leaves behind a legacy of faith, devotion, and love that will continue through her family and all who knew her.


In accordance with her wishes, her life will be celebrated privately by her family.
