Rhonda Jean Jennings was born in Steubenville, Ohio to the union of Francis and Laura West Jennings. She was reared in Weirton, West Virginia.
After graduating high school, Rhonda attended Jefferson Community College and obtained an Associate Degree in Accounting. Rhonda furthered her education at Franciscan University staying with the field of accounting and attained her Bachelors Degree. Rhonda was very intelligent and loved to learn and valued education. She felt that education was something that once earned was yours and could never be taken from you.
Rhonda gained employment at Weirton Steel after graduating from college. She worked many positions and was also an Union Steward for many years. She retired after over 30 years of service.
Rhonda was a member of The Greater Zion Family Worship Center. She was blessed with one son, Cesare, and adored him. Later, his son Cesare, Jr. became a big part of her daily life. She was very passionate about his educational needs being met and stayed on top of things.
Rhon Jean, as she was lovingly called, was the care taker for her mother for many years and enjoyed her role. She was a quiet and helpful soul that would do anything for anyone. She never wanted anything in return for her good deeds. There were many people that if Rhonda found out were in need she would help out. These people never knew it was her that gave them a helping hand, she was never boastful. She was kind by nature, giving to all in need, dutiful for the Lord and a woman who loved her family.
She was preceded in death by: her father, Francis Jennings, Sr. and her brothers, Brian Jennings, Francis Jennings, Jr. and Jonathan Jennings Sr.
She will sorely be missed, but always be loved by: her only son, who she treasured, Cesare Jennings, Sr.; her grandsons Shane Rowley and Cesare, Jr.; her mother, whom she loved dearly, Laura Jennings; her siblings, who always made her laugh, Duane Jennings, Saunda (Elver, Jr.) Lee, Charles (Linda) Jennings; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends.
