IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Ricardo S
Brown
October 19, 1958 – July 4, 2022
Ricardo "Tweedie" Brown departed this life on July 4, 2022. He was born to the union of Samaria and Rose (Styles) Brown on October 19, 1958, in Steubenville, Ohio.
He was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church and was active in the church. He enjoyed being at church every Sunday where he could be found driving the church van, ushering, and greeting. On other days you would find him working and cleaning around the church. Tweedie was a fixture and truly treasured Mt Zion Baptist Church working for the Lord.
He graduated from Steubenville High School. He met his true love, Rene Wade, early in life and together they defined what lifelong love devotion was all about. They embraced each other through every obstacle and enjoyed each other through every happy moment. He was a hard worker and worked for Ohio Edison (W.H. Sammis Power Plant) in Stratton, Ohio for many years and then for the City of Steubenville's Water Department until he fell ill and had to retire.
Tweedie was a true sports fan and liked all sports; however, the Cleveland Browns were his favorite team. He coached the Steubenville Tigers little league team and really valued his time spent with them throughout the year. Above all, he cherished his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Samaria Brown and Rose (Styles) Brown; grandparents, Willie and Katie Styles; brothers, Curtis Rumph, Clifford Rumph, and Johnny Brown.
Ricardo "Tweedie" leaves to mourn his passing, a devoted wife, Rene Brown; his loving children, Donte' Brown, Sr. and Tracy Brown; his grandchildren, Donte', Jr., Dondre, Laila, Swan, Tashara, Mark, and Jeffrey; great-grandchildren, Khris and Tajhia; two brothers, Derrick (Rita) Rumph, Louis (Melva) Howell, and Charles Brown; his favorite uncle, Elder Ronald J. Styles Sr.; special cousin, Cheryl Austin; a special aunt, JoAnn Styles and he had a special place in his heart for Cu'trece; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 12, 2022, from 11:00 am until the time of funeral service 1:00 pm at the Gregory-Martin Chapel, 255 S. 7th Street in Steubenville, Ohio.
