Life is but a stopping place
A pause in what's to be,
A resting place along the road,
To sweet eternity.

We all have different journeys,
Different paths along the way.
We are meant to learn some things,
But never meant to stay.

Our destination lies ahead,
Far greater than we know.
For some, the journey's quicker;
For others, it moves slow.

And when the journey finally ends,
We claim a great reward,
Finding everlasting peace—
A better place, restored.

You suffered for so long,
But I hope now you've gained your wings.
May you rest peacefully,
Reunited with Beatrice, Diane, and Chucky.

Rose Williams was preceded in death by her mother, Pearl Marie Johnson; her brother, George Sanders; and her sisters, Ruth West and Doris Taylor.

She leaves to cherish her memory her loving children, Aretha Jane Banks, Chester Williams, Lisa Walker, and Dale Taylor, along with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Rose was deeply loved and will be dearly missed.

Private funeral services were held for the family on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at the Gregory-Martin Funeral Chapel.
