Sabrina C. Lee Rush (46) of Fishers, Indiana passed on September 7, 2019, as she lived surrounded by prayer and love from her family and friends.
She was born on September 6, 1973, in South Williamson, Kentucky and raised in Williamson, West Virginia. She was the youngest of twelve children reared by the late Elroy and Ella Mae (Shepherd) Lee.
Brina, as she was lovingly called, was a devoted Christian by faith and loved to spread God's word with her angelic voice through song and praise. She recently started her personal online ministry. She graduated from Williamson High School Class in 1991 where she was a cheerleader, played basketball and loved performing in the HS drama department. It was a true honor when she was voted Williamson High School homecoming queen during her senior year.
She later attended WV State College and Ivy Tech schools. During her time in Charleston, West Virginia she met her husband, Lamar Rush. He was so pleased when he caught Sabrina's eye and they were married on May 17, 2007. Together they raised three sons: Arbra Ross, a natural-born leader, Avion Rush, who has a sense of humor like his mom, and her little warrior Amar'e Rush. Brina was a member of First Baptist Church under the pastorate of the Reverend Paul Dunn. She loved the church and was an active choir member.
Brina and family relocated to Fishers, Indiana where she worked for the Kroger Company for ten years. Her co-workers and customers became like family. Her door was always open and she made every attempt to feed a nation right out of her own home.
Sabrina is preceded in death by her dear parents and her precious son, Abel James Rush; her siblings: the late Robert "Gene" Shepherd and the late Carolyn L.Shepherd.
Her memory will be celebrated by her husband, Lamar; her loving sons: Arbra, Avion, and Amar'e; a beautiful step-daughter, Kayla Stubblefield; her devoted siblings, Johnny (Tessie) Shepherd of Pikeville, KY; Walter Shepherd of Rochester, NY; Lillian Maggie Newman, Martha Ann (Dennis) Paige, Teresa Diamond and Leonard (Brenda) Young all of Williamson, WV; Jeffrey Lee and Denise "Nisey" Lee both reside in Laurel, Maryland; Cornella Shepherd of Indianapolis, IN; she also leaves to mourn 33 nieces/nephews; 49 great nieces/nephews and 16 great-great nieces/nephews, whom she absolutely loved and adored.
Brina had numerous best friends too many to be mentioned, and each of you knows who you are to her! Brina loved each of you all in a special way! Sabrina lived, loved and was a blessing to those she came in contact. She was an ambassador for our
Lord and Savior Jesus Christ
