Obituary

Sean Scipio, 55, of Steubenville, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, September 8, 2020, at Forbes Regional Hospital in Monroeville, PA. He was born December 21, 1964, in Columbus, Ohio, the son of the late Paul Jr., and Shirley (Hilson) Scipio.

He attended Quinn A.M.E. Church in Steubenville. He graduated from Steubenville High School, class of 1983. After high school, he furthered his education at Ohio University. In addition, he proudly served his country as Lieutenant in the United States Air Force. Most recently Sean worked as a truck driver for All States Trucking in Columbus, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father; one infant son, Johnathan Scipio; his paternal grandparents who raised him, Paul Sr., and Juliaetta Scipio; his maternal grandparents, Frank Hilson, and Ethel Rainbow; and his great-grandmother, Carrie Bell.

Sean is survived by his wife of 33 years, Lori (Knezovich) Scipio; and his son, Sean II; his grandson, Landon; one sister, Shoffon Scipio; and one brother Chico Washington; uncles, James Hilson, and Terrence (Elyse) Rainbow; a host of nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

The family will receive friends 1:00 p.m. until the time of Sean's life celebration, 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 26, 2020, at the GREGORY-MARTIN CHAPEL AND LIFE EVENT CENTER, 255 S. 7th Street in Steubenville, Ohio.
