Baby Boy Sekani Tyrin Amare Mayo was born in Steubenville , Ohio, on January 14, 2022. He passed away on July 15, 2022, in Weirton , West Virginia, at the age of 6 months .

Sekani spent every day of his life living up to his name . Everyone who got to know him retained nothing but happy memories of something he did to captivate his audience and demand that all eyes stay on him. He enjoyed listening to music and playing with his siblings .

He was preceded in death by his great-great-grandmother Ophelia J.C. Brently ; great-grandmother Betty J. Dixon; grandfather Micah A. Mayo; cousins Lukas Serayah Wright , Quincy Clark Jr., and Navontavious O.H. Stackhouse .

Left behind to cherish his memory are his parents Nykee M. L. Mayo and Lindsy Q. L. Wright; siblings Javiance M. L. Mayo , Ka'Oira-Elona A. Mayo , Hazina P. N. Mayo , and Amoura Mayo ; LaTia S. Wright, Elonda Y. McGee, and Eric D. Tibbs Sr.; aunts and uncles Quincy ( Shaneka ) Clark, Randy Tibbs , Christinia (Robert Jackson) Anderson, Eric Tibbs Jr., Quintella A. (Willis H. Stackhouse Sr.) Wright, Imani E. Tibbs , Tammie D. Tibbs , Nico Mayo , and Myoshi McGee; and a host of other relatives .

A public visitation will be held on Saturday, July 30, 2022, from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the GREGORY-MARTIN CHAPEL, 255 S. 7th Street in Steubenville , Ohio. A repast will follow in the GREGORY-MARTIN LIFE EVENT CENTER after the visitation .
