Obituary

Shannon Terrell Loveless was born on September 25, 1978, to the union of Reginald Rucker and Audrey Mukes. Shannon was called home on April 25, 2023.

At an early age, Shannon confessed to Christ and was baptized at Greater Omega Baptist A.M.E. in Chicago, Illinois. He attended Harvard Middle School and graduated on the honor roll. He then went on to graduate from Tilden High School while pursuing a career in security at Star's Security Company in Chicago, Illinois.

Shannon later moved to Steubenville, Ohio, where he continued his life journey. He was no stranger to hard work to pursue his dreams. He worked as a shift lead supervisor at a warehouse in Burgettstown, Pennsylvania. He also worked for door dash and Instacart as well as other side jobs with the vision of one day starting his car detailing business.

Shannon's joy was being a dad and grandpap. He was a caring, loving, hardworking, outgoing courageous man who strived for the best. In his free time, he enjoyed listening to reggae music, playing baseball/softball, watching movies, and taking road trips.

He was preceded in death by his loved ones who he missed dearly, his great-grandmother Audrey Anderson "Madea"; grandmothers Mae Richmond (who he loved and called mom) and Ruby Rucker "Big Momma"; great-grandfather Emmit Anderson; grandfather Charles Bolden; uncle Nathaniel Richmond; and great nephew Teon Dillard.

Shannon leaves to cherish memories his parents Reginald Rucker and Audrey (Frank) Mukes; his brothers Rashann (Delilah) Mukes, and Reggie Thomas Jr; sisters Regina Thomas, Tiffany Thomas, and Kalia Rucker; daughter Daviona Loveless; grandson Messiah; granddaughter Veronica; god mom Sharon Barnes; aunts Valerie Loveless (William Roberson); Angela Richmond (Melvin Thompon); Pam Rucker and Betty Bowens; uncle Aaron Richmond; nephews Rashaan Mukes Jr., Cameron Mukes, and Lawerence Daniels (CJ); and an abundance of cousins, friends, and loved ones.

The family will receive friends Friday, May 12, 2023, from 11:00 am until the time of the funeral service, noon, at the GREGORY-MARTIN CHAPEL, 255 S. 7 th Street in Steubenville, Ohio.
