Sharon Lynn Smith-Thorn was born November 18, 1961, in Steubenville, Ohio to Ben Smith and Dorothy J. Griffin. She passed away peacefully on September 18, 2022, at Valley Hospice Care Center North at the age of 61.

Sharon was a fun-loving person who spoke her mind. She cared for her family and reared her family with her tough yet caring nature. Sharon was surely a tough cookie that believed in fighting for what she believed.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Dora Jean Smith; brother, Toby Smith, and a daughter Montia Smith.

She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Sharon R. Smith; four grandchildren, JaMarcus Holmes, Jr., Elijuan Malone, Elijamere Smith, and A'meenah Rogers; one brother, Tony Smith; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

A public visitation will be held on Monday, September 26, 2022, from 12:00 pm until  2:00 pm at the GREGORY-MARTIN CHAPEL, 255 S. 7th Street in Steubenville, Ohio.
