Sondra Ann Johnson, 66, departed this life on April 19, 2019 peacefully at her residence in Steubenville, Ohio. She was born in Steubenville, Ohio to union of late Charles and Frances (nee Zimmerman) Johnson on January 25, 1953 and was reared in Mingo Junction, Ohio.

Sondra was a nurse's aid by trade but held many positions in her life within the Steubenville and Wintersville area. She was lovingly called "Sonnie" by those who knew her. She was the type of person that could bring light to any room. She was a very loving mother and grandmother to her four children, her 16 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. She enjoyed the time she spent with her family and friends.

Sonnie was preceded in death by her parents; Charles and Frances Johnson and a brother; Marc R. Johnson.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her children; John "Ewee" (Maralyn) Johnson of Wintersville, Ohio, LaTisha (John) Murray of Wintersville, Ohio, Marcella (Howard) Scurry of Steubenville, Ohio and Dana Rushawn Swearingen of Cleveland, Ohio, 2 brothers; Elder Charles S. (Jeanette) Johnson of York, PA and Timothy L. Johnson of Steubenville, Ohio, 2 sisters, Rev. Toni Hubbard of Steubenville, Ohio and Carla (Dana) Davis of Wellsburg, WV, a special sister in law; Rose Johnson, special friends; Gene Walker (his son Malcolm) and Shaundra Ross, her grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.
