Stephen Edward Harton, age 63, of Wellsburg, West Virginia, passed away peacefully on December 5, 2024, in the comfort of his home with his loving wife by his side. Born in Columbus, Ohio, on July 7, 1961, he was the cherished son of the late Eddie B. Royal and Jane Hopson.

Stephen was apostolic by faith and a man of dedication and perseverance. After graduating high school, he pursued higher education, earning associate degrees in both Business and Mathematics. While in college, Stephen excelled academically, making the dean's list twice and earning an award for perfect attendance—a reflection of his diligence and commitment to excellence.

In addition to his parents, Stephen was preceded in death by two brothers, Derwin and Lyndon Harton.

Stephen leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. He is survived by his devoted wife, Tina Harton; four children: Brianne, Stefan, Denisha, and Steve Jr.; and four stepchildren: Allen, Jamal, Leland, and Stacie. He was a proud grandfather to 18 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Stephen is also survived by his siblings: three brothers, Rod (Francine), Steve, and Edene; and five sisters, Sylvia, Juliette, Nina, Vonetta, and Arelia. He will also be fondly remembered by a host of other relatives and friends who loved him dearly.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 12, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. at the Gregory-Martin Chapel, 255 S. 7th Street, Steubenville, Ohio. Interment will follow at Union Cemetery.

Stephen's life was marked by faith, hard work, and unwavering love for his family. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
