Thomas A. Jenkins Sr., 62, of Youngstown, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at his residence. He was born May 1, 1963, in Youngstown, Ohio, the son of the late Thomas Jenkins and Brenda Venable Jenkins.

Thomas worked for several years as a correctional officer with Community Corrections Association (CCA), where he later retired after years of dedicated service. He was a proud graduate of Rayen High School, where he played on the basketball team during his high school years.

Thomas was known for his sense of humor and love for joking with those around him. He was a devoted and loving father to his two sons, Thomas Jr. and William Jenkins, whom he taught how to be strong, respectful men. He was present for many meaningful moments in their lives, including serving as one of their basketball coaches during their school years. He was also an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers.

In addition to his parents, Thomas was preceded in death by his siblings, Joseph Jenkins and Lewis Jenkins.

He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Charlotte Jenkins; his sons, Thomas Jr. and William Jenkins; his siblings, Anthony Jenkins, Jerome Jenkins, Lavar Jenkins, Nikki Rushton Walker, Shawn Rushton, and Michael Rushton; along with a host of extended family and friends who will miss him dearly.

In accordance with his wishes, no public services will be observed.
