Toby Lee Smith was born October 27, 1984, in Steubenville, Ohio, to Calvin Smith Sr., and Marilyn (White) Queen. On April 15, 2022, he passed away peacefully at Salem Regional Medical Center in Salem, Ohio, at the age of 37.

Toby graduated from Stark County Public Schools. After graduating from high school, he continued to further his education and received his associate's degree. He worked in the food industry. He loved spoiling his son and his nieces and nephews. He was a momma's boy and enjoyed spending time with his mother, especially on karaoke night. Toby loved his wife and son dearly. He will be sorely missed.

He was preceded in death by his father Calvin "Big Toby" Smith; and one sister Callie Smith.

Left behind to cherish his memory are his wife Gladys Smith; son Toby Lee Smith Jr.; mother Marilyn Queen; siblings, Calvin Smith Jr., Shauntain White, Shannon White, and Tomeka Smith; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A public visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 24, 2022, at the GREGORY-MARTIN CHAPEL, 255 S. 7th Street in Steubenville, Ohio.
