Troy Edward Pratt Sr. was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on August 13, 1967, to Edward Pratt and Shirley Faye Holloway. He passed away on September 6, 2022, at Doctors Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, at the age of 55.

Troy graduated from John A. Brashear High School in Pittsburgh. He had a passion for cooking. That passion steered him to complete culinary school and then to achieve a lifelong career as a chef until his health declined. He would often show off his superb cooking skills during gatherings he would host. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching DC and Marvel shows and movies with his son. He, in addition, harbored a passion for singing. Some of his favorite musical artists were New Edition and Michael Jackson. Troy's family was his World. He dedicated as much time to them as he possibly could, especially to his children. He was a natural giver, if he had it, you had it! He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter Amari Pratt.

Left behind to cherish his memory are his life-long partner LaKisha Jeter; his children Troy Pratt Jr. and Sariyah Pratt; brother Kevin Pratt; a nephew who was like a son Jaziah Blackwell; special aunt Zelda Holloway; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until the time of the funeral service, 12:00 pm at Second Baptist Church, 717 Adams Street in Steubenville, Ohio. Rev. Marvin Barner Jr. will deliver words of comfort.
