Vincent L. Gilliam passed away April 1, 2017 at Weirton Medical Center. He was born in East Liverpool, Ohio to Luchious Gilliam and Betty Anderson Carter.

He was raised in the Christian faith. Vincent was reared in the Hancock County School System. He graduated from Weir High School with a basketball scholarship to play for Shepherd University.

After graduating from college, he taught and coached for the Hancock County Schools. His favorite position was teaching Driver's Education. His love of basketball gave him great insight as a coach and he was very instrumental in the young lives he touched.

He met and married his wife, Frankie McKinnon, and they enjoyed so many blessed years together.
