transition came to William Louis Phifer Jr, better known as "Spanky", on Friday, February 19, 2021. He was born November 8, 1955, in Youngstown, Ohio, the son of Margaret Henderson Howze and William Louis Phifer Sr.
He attended Youngstown State University and retired from Marsh Bellofram.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Henderson Howze; a son, Antoine "Cookie" Kirkle; a grandson Daquis Wood; brothers, Lawrence Everett (Phife) Henderson Jr., Ronald Bernard Henderson; a sister Edna Ruth "Jackie" Gatewood; a step brother Lawrence Tellington, a niece Dionne "Dee Dee" Looper; maternal grandparents, William and Nanny Henderson, and one great-grandchild.
William is survived by his beloved wife, Vanessa K. Sizemore; his father, William (Joyce) Louis Phifer, Sr of Columbus, Ohio; two sons, Shondale (Cecelia) Phifer of Youngstown, Ohio, and Keonte' Phifer of Steubenville, Ohio; two daugthers, MyKeyia Phifer and Keyaira Phifer both of Steubenville, Ohio; four dear sisters, Margaret (Virdree) Thompson and Alberta Rhodes both of Fairborn, Ohio, Monique Phifer and Michelle Phifer, both of Columbus, Ohio; a brother Roy Phifer of Columbus, Ohio, step brothers, Coya Tellington and Anthony Tellington both of Youngstown, Ohio. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Dawaylin Mitchell, Kadijah Williams, Shampaine Phifer, Neighai Lively, JaShea Myers, Taylor Phifer, Cari' Asijah McQueen, Aiiakria Boatwright, Se'Aira Kirkle, Se'Cret Kirkle, O'Dasia Phifer, Shondale Phifer Jr., Alexxus Phifer, Dale'Shon Phifer, Elizabeth Green, Sincere Phifer, Joseph Jones, A'Mylia Phifer, London Phifer, Messiah Phifer, Amariah Phifer, A'Mar Phifer, eighteen great grandchildren and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks and appreciation to all for your many acts of kindness, comforting words, and prayers during this hour of trial. May God bless and sustain each and every one of you.
A public visitation will be held at the GREGORY-MARTIN CHAPEL AND LIFE EVENT CENTER, 255 S. 7th Street in Steubenville, Ohio from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. on Friday, February 26, 2021.
