IN LOVING MEMORY OF
William
Wade
December 31, 1971 – August 19, 2021
William "Fat Cat" Wade was born December 31, 1971, in Cleveland, Ohio, to R.C. Johnson and Stephanie Wade. On Thursday, August 19, 2021, he passed away in Steubenville, Ohio.
Fat Cat was the type of person who always wanted to help others more than himself. He focused on those less fortunate than him. He was a very talented individual and was skilled at creating things from scrap material. As a kid, he made tools and weapons. He taught himself to do many things and at times he thought he was a ninja as a child. He cut designs on his school mates hair in high school and family and friends. This led him to obtain a license in barbering. He was very well known throughout the years as the best barber. Most of all Fat Cat loved his family and wanted to see everyone happy.
He was preceded in death by his father, R.C. Johnson; stepfather, Melvin Luke; sister, Chellece Wade; paternal grandmother, Florence Jackson Gavin; maternal grandparents, William and Gladys Wade.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his mother, Stephanie Luke; a daughter, Brittany Peace; four grandchildren; four sisters, Porsha Dotson, Mona Wade McIntyre, Nanette Taylor, and Louise Carter; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until the time of service at 2:00 PM on Saturday, August 28, 2021, at the GREGORY-MARTIN CHAPEL AND LIFE EVENT CENTER, 255 S. 7th Street in Steubenville, Ohio. Rev. Maurice Lawson will deliver the eulogy.
